Ft. John, Jessica, and Drew For this project, I chose to incorporate these three Animas High School teachers into a poster of the children’s show Peppa Pig. I chose this show because it was one of my favorite childhood shows and each of the teachers that I chose represents one of the characters. I chose John, Jessica, and Drew because I wanted to get to know them and create personal connections. Overall, I am proud of my work. Though it is not the most aesthetically pleasing, I feel like I did a good job of incorporating the skills that we learned in this class as well as exploring and demonstrating my learning. This was a fun project for the start of the year and it was a great way to learn and review new skills in photoshop.
Initially, I attempted creating a comedic audio about the pickle scene from the movie Little Rascals. However, after getting relatively far along into this audio project, I decided to instead create an emotional audio edit of the Joe Biden inauguration poem “The Hill We Climb” by Amanda Gorman. I chose to use this poem because I believe that it is a meaningful piece of media that I connect with personally. I chose to incorporate the songs Memoir #02 by May Roosevelt and Dancing On the Light by Richard Dillon because they are artful and uplifting songs. They are also two of my favorite songs because of the emotional aspect of the music. The biggest area of growth for me was learning how to use Adobe Audition and practicing saving and organizing files and audios. I practiced this through lots of trial and error in the form of forgetting to save files which resulted in losing my work, as well as experimenting with tools within AU. My strengths from this project were in the area of persistence when something didn’t go as planned as well as refining my work to make it sound pleasing to the ears.
